Across the years, there were many main dinosaurs that were shown in Jurassic Park 1 to 3, such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors, and the most recent one - Jurassic Park 3 - there was a Spinosaurus who eventually defeat the Tyrannosaur to show that Spinosaurus is even more badass than the T-Rex. In Jurassic World, normal dinosaurs were not enough, they had to make a new dinosaur which had to be a carnivore called the Indominus Rex.
The Indominus Rex was supposed to be a new attraction for Jurassic World designed by Dr. Henry Wu, the chief genetic engineer in Jurassic World that recreates all the dinosaurs, "Oh she wasn't bred. She was designed. She will be 50 feet long when fully grown. Bigger than the T-Rex."The Indominus is a combination of 7 dinosaurs including the T-Rex, Velociraptor, and Therizinosaurus due to the long claws, as well as modern species such as tree-frogs and cuttlefish. The cuttlefish was used so the Indominus could withstand accelerated growth rate, but the genes of the cuttlefish also have the ability to change the skin of its color, so it can blend to its environment like a chameleon. The tree-frog was used in the DNA making process so Indominus can adapt to the tropical climate, but of course there's a twist also in the gene, the Indominus hid from the thermal detector causing fatalities to the people who didn't realize the Indominus was actually behind them.
After causing major destructions in Jurassic World, the Indominus Rex was stopped with 3 dinosaurs along with human help. Indominus was so powerful that 4 Velociraptors cannot stop him, even with the help of T-Rex, a final dinosaur had to come into play. That dinosaur is a giant Mosasaurus, a sea monster that dragged the injured Indominus Rex into the ocean. That is the story of the Indominus Rex.
